We need to have a meeting for the upcoming in-school fundraiser (which is the 13th and 14th of Feb). Can we all meet this Friday at 11:30 on the 5th floor. Please comment below....

OCAD ID PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!! BE READY!!! Feb 9th!!!

Hi guys,

we are going to have a ID party on Friday Feb 9th!!
All ID students and faculty are invited and we are going to have fun!
Its fur social purposes, and will gather of 2nd, 3rd, 4th students..
I think it will be great if we can sell some soups or even good casues..(foods) for this event to do some fundrasing again,
please let me know, and leave some comments on it,

Next Fundraising Shindig

SOUPER WORK!

Hey! Guess what??!!! We made $524.55 today! I mean, in total, after EVERYTHING and EVERYONE is paid out!!!!!

AWESOME JOB GUYS! We now have $824.55 to put in the bank and $150 in the till for the next sale! So exciting!

BIG THANKS to Alex and Stefa for making delicious soup! Next time we need to make more--which means more volunteers! We were sold out by around 2pm!

Also thank you to Terry, Nate Archer, Maiwenn, Jenn Niven, Bilal, Christine Hunt, Mike Farnham, Mahmood, Heather McGaw, Justyna, Sarah Zive, Meghan Goodfellow, Jasmin, and Eloise for helping out (forgive me if I missed anyone-- I am so tired!) Shout outs to Rachel, Sean March, Kristin Lim Tung, Ben Kaplan and Job, for generous appetites, wallets and/or just generally prettying up the place!

I was thinking we should send thank you notes to The Rosewater for donating soup (the head chef went in for surgery today, so it was VERY kind of him) and to Cobs who donated all the bread, and waited around for us for an hour (oops)!

Can someone make a couple of nice cards, or donate a couple of store bought ones? Pin them to the wall of the thesis area if you can help out.

Next sale is FEB 13 &14 and it will be a VALENTINE'S SWEETS and DESIGN BRIEFS sale! Please satrt submitting designs to this blog if you want to be a part of the screen printing fun!!!

Fundraiser Dates

Hey hey!
When are the dates that have already been picked out for the thesis fundraiser sales? We should forward them to Sarah Mullholland and see if she can post them up on the OCAD events emails that get sent out to us every week, so people know about the sales ahead of time. The email this week didn't mention our sale but it might be helpful...

Unfortunatly, I can't make it in the morning to help out, I got an interview that I cannot miss....sorry,, but instead I am going to bake some cookies!!!!also I will help later afternoon to clean up..

Our Expenses

Hey, guys I just went out and bought stuff for Tuesday. I know others have as well, who do we give our receipts to?

p.s. I'm bringing cream cheese brownies, chocolate fudge cookies, & white chocolate macadamia cookies.

p.p.s. Yes that IS a pic of my receipts... Its going to be one hell of a sale!

TUESDAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We have our second soup and sweets sale/thesis fundraiser on Tuesday. We need volunteers to:

1. make soup (russel: 2 buckets are taken care of--can we do the other 2 at queen mother?)
2. make sweets (brownies, cookies, samosas--whatever)
2. set up
3. tear down
4. bring supplies
5. work the sale
6. make little recipe books
7. Make signs

Please use comments section to let us know SPECIFICALLY when you can work, and SPECIFICALLY what you can bring. It will be exactly the same set-up as last time. Those who supplied crock pots and utensils, can you do it again? Those who made soup, can you do it again??? Heather M, would you be willing to make recipe booklets again? MAiwenn and Terry, would you be able to make signs again?

The day will begin at 8am, setting up in the main lobby. Those who have thesis at noon could help out until then, and those who have thesis from 8:30-11:20 could come after that. Clean up will take place at around 4pm, and whoever can help is more than welcome :)

Remember: being involved in thesis fundraising is part of being in thesis, and the profs have not-so-subtly let us know that they make note of who contributes and who doesn't..so if you wanna do a good job, you gots to help out!!!! :)

Re: Come Up To My Room

From the souvenir meeting, the last I remember Todd & Mike were saying that it wouldn't be enough to just print something on a pair of American Apparel underwear for a souvenir, we would have to craft the underwear or find a canadian brand of underwear?. I can't remember totally, it would be funny to make them too.

Next one is a week Tuesday-- on January 16th. Good news: the head chef at the Rosewater is donating an entire pail of soup, so that's only 3 left to make....WHO'S IN????!!!!!

Russel do you think we can use the kitchen at the Queen Mother again? Are you willing to ask them again? It was so helpful last time... If not, we can figure it out at people's homes. I would donate my kitchen if I had to....

Let's talk about this this week. Can we meet wednesday at 11:30?
